The buyer is the Horn Group based in Siegen, Germany. Horn specialises in the recycling of refractories and the production of recycling mixes for the steel industry. 

LWB Refractories and Rheinkalk already have a long business relationship with the Horn Group. Following the divestment of Mireco, LWB Refractories and Horn have agreed to a long-term co-operation in Scandinavia. Mireco will continue to take back refractories supplied by LWB from Scandinavian customers, and LWB will continue to market recycling mixes manufactured by Mireco. This enables us to continue to satisfy customer requirements by providing recycling options for our refractory products.
