Lhoist takes part to Infratech (Rotterdam) on Jan 14-17
Lhoist Nederland will be present at the famous Infratech civil engineering trade fair in Rotterdam (Jan 14-17).
Quicklime (and especially Proviacal®, the low-dust lime developed by
Lhoist) is used to dry out damp soils and to improve the clayey and loam
soils to facilitate their reuse during earthworks. Lime is also
increasingly used to recycle excavated material (trench spoil) from sites
in urban areas.
Special applications of lime are the use of hydrated lime in the technical
mortars consolidating underground structures such as tunnels.
Hydrated lime also improves the performance of the asphalt mixes used for
road surfacing. It increases their resistance to stripping, rutting and
durability.
